Psalm 119-Part 12
My soul fainteth for Thy salvation: but I hope in Thy Word.  Ps. 119:81

LET IT GLOW

*Sorry everyone, but I skipped a stanza and messed up. I am trying to correct it now.   :)

Stanza 11, verses 81-88
Regardless of his circumstances causing faint of soul, David had hope. In what did he put his hope?
David continued to put his trust in the Word of God.
Don't you find comfort and hope while reading this psalm?

In the early 17th century, Samuel Rutherford said, "Believe under a cloud, and wait for Him when there is no moonlight nor starlight."

Wait for that help, assured that it will come, and tarrying til it come. (Matthew Henry)

Let us live by faith, not by sight. It could be that that faith will be in our sight today. God is working things out for our good and His glory.

LET IT GROW

Quicken me after Thy lovingkindness... (verse 88)

Quicken means revive; be whole.

David has used this term 7 other times within this psalm.

It is the "quickening" of God through His life-giving grace that enables the servant of God to keep the testimony of Thy mouth. (Falwell)

Life-changing Words of God, life-giving grace. Isn't that what we need dear one? God puts life in us again and His grace strengthens us to do His work.

What results in us receiving them? We keep His testimonies.

Do you need some life-giving grace? Oooh, Jesus has it for us.

LET IT GO

I don't deserve it, but will You give me some life-giving grace today, Jesus?
Revive me with Thy lovingkindness.
