Great Peace

Psalm 119-Part 23
Great peace have they which love Thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Psalm 119:165

LET IT GLOW

Amidst a helter skelter, hurry scurry world, everyone could use some peace, no, great peace. Do I hear an amen? We worry about this and plan that, but it falls through. We become broken pieces with broken relationships. We don't know how we can make it through another day.

Here is a gem for us to carry in our pocket (and heart). Turn our key verse around, and it says, They which love Thy law have great peace.

Look at the meaning for peace, shalom, which means to be safe, well, happy, friendly, welfare.

How much peace, happiness, welfare, safety do we want or need? How much is available?

Great (rab) refers to abundant; exceedingly; enough; much; plenteous.

Who wants an abundance of happiness?
Do you need to feel safe, feel enough safety that you can pick up your feet and go do, go meet that challenge today?
Could you use some plenteous welfare?
What about your body lacking wellness, with all the germs flying around-do you need it exceedingly?
Above all we think or imagine, Jesus can pour it out, this peace we need for whatever our need-He gives.

LET IT GROW

And nothing shall offend them. (verse 165b)

Her is another gem-when we love the law, God's Word, we shall not be offended. Huh?

Offend refers to a stumbling block; obstacle; cause to fall; ruin.

We will not have anything in front of us that will cause us to stumble into sin.
NOTHING can ruin us.
Our salvation is a sure thing. The key is we have to only love God's law, obey it wholeheartedly.
Apply it to your situation, friend.

LET IT GO

Lord Jesus, I could use some great peace today.
Help me to love Your Word and apply it today.
I am trusting You for the NOTHING.
