Luke 8-Part 8

LET IT GLOW

I don't know about your area, but we have had a very stormy and flooding spring here. Strong winds broke a limb and hit our son's windshield in the truck we were borrowing while our car was in the shop. We replaced it. A mess was in the back yard that had to be cleaned up before mowing. The dirt road on the way to our farm was a mess with rocks everywhere and water standing deeply. A local town had destruction of buildings from high winds and power outages occurred. 

Where is your faith? The disciples were with the King who was more powerful than the sea. They didn't fully comprehend Jesus' identity. Jesus was more than a prophet, for He is the Son of the Living God, who is all powerful. Jesus was in the boat with them, so the guys were not going to die. But they didn't see the situation that way. 

LET IT GROW

Jesus stopped the winds and the waves. That meant still water, no treacherous waves, no boat rocking, no bailing of water, just silence on the water. Don't you know they had bug eyes when that happened. They wondered who Jesus was. 

Is Jesus in your boat? Is He sailing along with you on the sea of life? Do you ask Him to calm the raging sea you are experiencing? He can do it. 

LET IT GO

Show us what we are clinging to instead of You, Jesus.

Help us let go and sail with You today.

Glory to God in the Highest.

Let there be smooth sailing in our heart and peace like a river.
