Luke 10-Part 4
Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see. (verse 23)
LET IT GLOW
Be careful that pride doesn't seep in, it seems to be what Jesus was warning His followers. His disciples were thrilled with their power over evil spirits. Yours is the kind of pride that led to Satan's downfall. (verse 20)
Did you notice that Jesus thanked God that spiritual truth is for everyone and not just the elite? Doesn't it seem that life's rewards tend to go to the intelligent, rich, good-looking, or powerful? Yet in God's kingdom, equality is available to all regardless of position or abilities. We come to Jesus through child-like trust, not brains or strength. We all have equal access to Him. It's God's grace which gives us heaven after death. (verse 21)
All things are given unto Jesus by God the Heavenly Father. It is Jesus who reveals God to us. (verse 22) the mission of Jesus was to reveal God the Father to the people. God's love was explained through stories, teachings, and Jesus' life.
Friend, do you know my Jesus? It is through repentance that we come to know Jesus/God. God loves us so much that He gave His only Son so whosoever believes in Him will have everlasting life.
LET IT GROW
The prophets wondered what their words meant and when they would be fulfilled. (1 Peter 1:10-13) It was Jesus Christ who fulfilled them. What a fantastic opportunity the disciples had to experience first-hand and see those prophecies come to pass.
Our faith requires that we believe Jesus is God's Son and Savior, that He lived a perfect life, died in our place on the cross to pay for our sins, rose from the grave, and sits at the right hand of God interceding for us! Wow! What a Savior!
Our responsibilities are to remain faithful to Jesus, share His love and Word of salvation, and obey it.
LET IT GO
Thank You Father that You loved us so much to go through all that You did for us sinners.
