Where Are We Walking, Standing, Sitting?

Psalms 1
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.  Ephesians 1:3

LET IT GLOW

The Christian life is compared to a walk. It begins a step of faith in trusting Christ as your Savior and grows as we take further steps of faith in obedience to His Word. Walking involves progress by applying Biblical truths to daily life. However, it is possible for the believer to walk "in the darkness," outside the will of God.

Paul tells us in our key verse that the believer in Christ has been "blessed with all spiritual blessings."
The definition of the word blessed in the Hebrew language as found in Psalms 1:1 means happiness; how happy!
In this chapter we read a description of the kind of Christian that God blesses:

  1. A person who is separated from the world. Although we are in the world, we are not of the world. Our heart is in tuned to God all day long. Be careful that we are not walking near sin, standing to consider it, then sitting down to enjoy it.
  2. A person who is saturated with the Word. Delight in Scriptures, reading it, meditating on it day and night. Like a cow chewing green grass, sits under the shade tree and regurgitates, chewing again the grass mixed with gastric houses, we chew on Scriptures and apply it in air lives, so it becomes a part of us.
A person who is situated by the waters. As a tree gets water from its deep roots in the soil, so we have spiritual roots that are deep in the things of Christ and drawing water from the Water of Life. Allow the Spirit to feed us; pray daily; let His fruit produce in our Christian life. (Wiersbe)
Where are we walking, standing, and sitting?

LET IT GROW

The ungodly, unbeliever, does not know Jesus, does not live Jesus, nor trust Him. They don't depend on the Lord and certainly do not fear Him. The path of the righteous leads to glory, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Remember that the unbelievers' ways , attitudes, words, ideas can rub off on us if we spend too much time with them. I refer to socializing. I understand we work with them, our children go to school with them, and they may even be our neighbors. I'm just saying, don't become like them, but be different.

Are we surrendered to Jesus? Are we rooted in His Word? What about chewing on it? Are we living a separated life from the world, standing out as different, or do we blend in? Are we blessed and happy in Jesus?

LET IT GO

Be rooted, happy, fruitful in the Word.
Walk, stand, and sit not with unbelievers.
Witness to them about what a difference Jesus has made in your life.
