Proverbs 20
LET IT GLOW
I apologize for skipping out on yesterday's lesson.
I have been exhausted after all the family activities last week and weekend.
How refreshing it was to be with grandchildren and cousins.
Now things will settle down after this week (vbs).
I hope you are having a great summer, too.
Shall we jump into chapter 20 now?
According to J. V. McGee, verses 6-12 are connected
as they speak of moral principles:
- goodness(v.6)
- integrity (v.7)
- scattering away all evil is cleaning up his kingdom(v.8)
- clean and pure hearts (v.9)
- falseness is a contrast to goodness (v.10)
- good doing by children (v.11)
- look and listen (v.12)
God to forgive us of our sins.
In John 3:3 , Jesus said we must be born again in order to see the
kingdom of God.
Until we are clothed in the righteousness of Christ, through His
salvation, we will not be pure.
Friend, have you done this?
Do we know others who need Jesus as Savior?
LET IT GROW
Stop, look, and listen. May we not go blindly through this life.
Use our eyes and ears to see the needs of others.
The hearts of people and children are revealed for others to see
as their words and deeds are observed. ( See Jeremiah 17:9)
Even children are known by the way they act, whether their
conduct is pure, and whether it is right.
Are we watching our conduct today?
LET IT GO
Look and listen.
Watch my words and deeds.
