Singing With Joy

O. T. #1802  "Singing With Joy"

Jeremiah 33-Part  2

LET IT GLOW

We have the assurance that when we call upon God, He show us great and mighty things, remarkable which we do not know.

What else do we learn about our God Jehovah?

  • He has anger and fury against those of wickedness.
  • He can hide His face as He did from Jerusalem.
  • He brings health and can cure.
  • He gives abundance of peace and truth. (verse 6)
  • He causes captives to return and rebuilds. (verse 7)
  • He is able to cleanse and pardons all iniquity and transgressions,  sinning against Him. (verse 8)
  • We can bring to Him joy, glory, and honor.
  • All will see the good He does for His people.
  • He gives peace and prosperity to His children, resulting in them trembling in awe. (verse 9)
  • The LORD is good.
  • His mercy endures forever.

God's grace is seen here. Jerusalem did not deserve it, nor do we. He pardons our sins and showers us with love. He is ready to answer our prayers. (Matthew 7:7) We must ask and humble ourselves, then obey God.

Forever God is faithful. Forever God is good.

Oh, give thanks unto the Lord for He is good. His mercy endures forever. (Psalm 136:1) The Jews sang it as they returned from Babylon and after the foundation of the Temple was laid. (Ezra 3:11)

LET IT GROW

What are we supposed to do according to verse 11? We are to sing the Lord's praises with joy and honor to Him. We are to bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord.

Do we give as an offering praises to Jesus? Do we enter His gates with thanksgiving in our heart?

LET IT GO

Worthy of worship, worthy of praise, worthy of love and devotion; worthy of all the glad songs that we sing; worthy of all of the offerings we bring.

Father, You are worthy, Father Creator, worthy of worship and praise. Savior, Sustainer, worthy and wonderful, worthy of worship and praise.
