Jeremiah 32

LET IT GLOW

In verses 16-25, we read of Jeremiah's prayer. He recognizes God as:

  • Creator (El Elyon)of the heavens and earth. (Abraham in Gen.14) (verse17)
  • The Creator who used His great power and outstretched arm.
  • There is nothing too hard (difficult;wonderful; great) for God.(Abraham -Gen 18)
  • He shows lovingkindness to thousands. (verse 18)
  • He brings the consequences of sin of one generation to the next.
  • He is the Great (exceedingly, noble, great in any sense).
  • He is the Mighty God (El Shaddai).
  • He is the LORD of Hosts (Jehovah Tsebaioth), who commands an army of angels, heavenly soldiers.

These are the name (position; honor; authority; character) of God that Jeremiah used in his prayer. He praised and adored his God by giving Him glory. God can do whatever He wills for He is sovereign. He is a God with universal command. He shows great mercy. So we should pray the same way, dear child of God.

LET IT GROW

Therefore, there is nothing too hard, too difficult, too great, nor too wonderful that God cannot do. What are you needing God to do in your life? When you pray, recognize one of God's characteristics. This shows His authority over us.

What are some of the great things God did in the Bible? He created man and woman, our universe, parted seas, healed sick, opened prison doors, fed thousands, and rose from the dead.

Is anything too hard for Him?

LET IT GO

You can do anything and everything, God.
