Restoration

O. T. #1792 "Restoration"

Jeremiah 30
And ye shall be My people, and I will be your God. (verse 22)

LET IT GLOW

In chapters 30-33, Jeremiah speaks of  the future for Israel and
Judah-a future after the 70 year captivity and the Millennium
reign of Christ. It will be a time of physical and spiritual
deliverance.

The promises of hope involve:

  1. The captives will return to their Promise Land  (verse 3)
  2. Strangers will no more enslave God's people so they shall                                                     serve the Lord; Christ the Messiah (a descendant of David)                                                      will be their king. (verses 8-9)
  3. God will bring destruction in their enemies. (verses 10-11)
  4. God would heal their wounds. (verses 16-17)
  5. Restoration includes buildings (verse 18), people (verse 19),                                                                     and rulers (verse 21).
  6. God will be their God and they will be His people. (verse 22)

What a restoration! Jerusalem was rebuilt by the leaders Ezra, Nehemiah,                                          and Zerubbabel and the people.
Christ will restore His kingdom as He reigns as king.

Does your faith in God need to be restored, dear one? Do you have
relationships that need restoring?
Turn to Jesus. He can restore you to a right relationship.
with God, as Psalms 23:3 says.

LET IT GROW

Then we will His people and He will be our God.

The heart is the main thing God looks at and requires.
(Matthew Henry)

He places that longing in our soul. His Spirit fills that
void. Does Jesus have a hold on you? He can set us free
from strongholds. It is the grace of God that keeps us.

LET IT GROW

Father, will You restore our faith when it wavers.
Will you restore our relationship with You and
others?
Keep Your children near to the heart of God.
