Ezekiel 21

LET IT GLOW

In Hebrews 13, there are several encouraging words.

For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you." (verse 6, NLT)

The LORD is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (verse 6)

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (verse 8)

By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name. (verse 15)

Are we fearing what mere people can do to us? Remember, Jesus is our helper. Be sure that our strength comes from God's grace. Are we offering through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God? Do we proclaim our allegiance to His name? Today, will we do good and share with those in need?

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (verse 16)

 

LET IT GROW

In verse 26, God says to remove the diadem [a tiara; official turban (of a king or high priest)], and take off the crown. This was the headgear of the High Priest and king. Zedekiah was Judah's last king, and was brought low. Now God says that there will be no more high priest and king in Israel, of David's line unto the Lord Jesus Christ comes back to reign in the millennial time. He will be that Priest-King. (And so it is.) God will hand over the diadem and crown to Jesus then. He has the right to wear them. Right now, Jesus sits at the right hand of God, waiting until His enemies are made His footstool when He comes to this earth to rule. He is the One Person of whom prophets had spoken. His "right" is that perfect combination of priestly and royal offices. (Hebrews 5-7)

Are we ready for our King to return to earth today? If He is your Savior and High Priest, then you are? If not, then let me encourage you to surrender to Jesus, asking His forgiveness of your sins, and become your Savior.

LET IT GO

Thank You Jesus for being our High Priest, interceding for us sinners to Holy God.

Thank You that You discern which petition is the right one to present.

Be King of our hearts and lives today.

May we always praise You and give You the glory, Jesus.

May we be ready for Your return to reign on earth.
