Proverbs 30

LET IT GLOW

Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down? Who holds the wind in His fists? Who wraps up the oceans in His cloak? Who has created the whole wide world? What is His name-and His Son's name? Tell Me if you know! Proverbs 30:4 NLT (My capital letters)

Sound familiar? God asked Job some of the same questions. He didn't know the answers then and neither do we. We don't have to know or do everything just right, because we love a God who does! Jesus, the Sovereign God of the universe, has done it all. When we are trusting in Him, we have peace. (Job 38:4), John 3:8, 13)


LET IT GROW

Here is our answer...

Every Word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. (verse 5)

Every word that God speaks is truth. The name for God is 'Eloah, which is commonly used in Job.
Pure is literally smelted or refined. Every Word of God has been tested and proven in the furnace of man's experience and His promises are a shield. (Falwell)

Shield is a protector, defense.

We can't improve upon God's Word.
Are we allowing Him to be our shield from problems and evil and worry?
He brings light to the darkness, mends the broken hearts, hope in our soul.
There is power in the name of Jesus. Are we using it against these problems?


LET IT GO

I am trusting my family members' health to You, Jesus.
Use me to reassure them with Your Word.
Direct me with Your wisdom.
I surely am in need today, Lord!
Be my shield of protection from worry.
Great are You Lord JESUS!
