John 14-Part 10 

LET IT GLOW

Need some hope? Jesus is speaking to His disciples and to us believers:

• the Holy Spirit comforting us and abiding with us forever (verse 16), 
• the Spirit of Truth dwells in us (verse 17), 
• Jesus does not leave us comfortless (verse 18),
• because Jesus lives, we shall live also (verse 19)
• our relationship is Jesus in us, we in Him, Jesus in Father God (verse 20).

We don't have to know the future in order to have faith in God. Faith in God makes us secure about the future.

LET IT GROW 

What is evidence that we love Jesus and the Father? It is through obedience. We surrender to Jesus, obey His Word and Spirit, then the  Spirit pours into our heart. 

Love for Christ is demonstrated by keeping His commandments. Obedience flowing from love is very different from obedience performed out of obligation. Jesus promises His presence as people join Him in His work. (David Jeremiah)

Are we growing more in love with Jesus each day?

Are we striving to please Him?

I Jesus illuminating our minds and hearts so we learn more of the Word?
