"Faithful and Unfaithful Servants"

 N/T.#579 "Faithful and unfaithful Servants"

June 27, 2025

Luke 12-Part 7

LET IT GLOW

We have a woman in our church whose son, wife, and two sons are joining. It has been a few years in waiting for answered prayers for this family. Now we can rejoice in the Lord's moving in their hearts. Are you doing kingdom work? Which kind of servant are you?

Are you ready with expectancy and preparation for the return of Jesus? We do not know when, but we know it is to be. Therefore, we must all be ready for His return anytime. It can be when we least expect it.   Blessed is the servant who is watching for their Lord to return, as in the parable. (verses 40, 43)

Peter asked Jesus if His parable applied to the disciples or if it was for everyone.  He didn't answer the question, did you notice? A faithful, sensible servant carries out their responsibility in managing the master's household servants and feeding them. He gets a reward. However, the irresponsible servant who beats those in his care and parties until the master returns, he will be banished with the unfaithful.

LET IT GROW

For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. (verse 48b)

Believers will be judged if they are worthy or not to receive rewards in heaven. Unbelievers will be judged whether or not if they are saved and know Jesus.

If we have been given much, then much will be required of us. Are we using our spiritual gifts in the church? Are we working diligently for the Lord, spreading the Gospel? Are we watching for Jesus to return? Do we teach the Word which we know?

Things to consider.

LET IT GO

When activities or material things take away our time from the Word or the church or Christian service, then we need to stop and reevaluate.

Thank You Jesus we can put everything in Your hands and lovingly serve you.
