Who is Jesus to You?

N.T.#244 "Who is Jesus to You?"

Feb. 14, 2024

Matthew 21-Part 4

LET IT GLOW

I recall a preacher in my home church during my teen years would close the service by asking the congregation, "Who do you say Jesus is?"

Here comes Jesus, riding on a colt of a donkey. The disciples put their robes on it so the ride would be more comfortable. Christ could have summoned a cherub to carry Him (Ps. 18:10), but did not for he was lowly in heart. He came not in wrath to take vengeance the first time but will the second time Jesus comes.

People laid down their garments, cut palm branches and put them in front of Jesus, all signifying Christ is their King. (The  Jews used palm tree branches during the feast of tabernacles.) Did you notice that He accepted their good-will? Is Christ your King? Have you laid down your all under His feet?

Did you notice that multitudes went before and followed Jesus and the disciples? What did they cry out?

Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. (verse 9)

In the Greek language, hosanna means oh save! An exlamation of adoration.

The crowd of believers were praising their Lord. Jesus Christ comes in the name of the Lord. He is our Mediator sent from the Father God. So His name is worthy of worship and praise.

Dear one, has Jesus come to you? Is He residing in your heart today? Ask Jesus to be your Savior and forgive your sins. He will dwell with you forever.

Are we blessing blessing Jesus? He blesses us so much in so may ways-life, breath, beat of our heart, provisions, family and friends, jobs, mercy and grace, etc.

LET IT GROW

When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem, the city was moved to ask "Who is this?"

Most Jews did not acknowledge Jesus as their Messiah. The Holy One unknown in the holy city!

Psalm 24:8 answers: Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle.

Verse 10 answers, The LORD of Hosts.

Friend, who do you say Jesus Christ is? Can you live and die with your decision? Are you ready to meet Him?

The people called Jesus just a prophet, but He is more!

LET IT GO

Hosanna in the Highest!

What a wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord!

How gracious, forgiving, loving You are!

Please save the lost today.
