Who is Your King?

Ezekiel 44-Part 2

LET IT GLOW

I find encouraging words in the Psalms. King David of Israel wrote the majority of them. He experienced so many hardships in his life and temptations. Because of that, I can relate to it. Down to earth is how I would describe David. We have come to Psalm chapter 66.

What has God done? Here are some things I found (NLT  version):

  • God's enemies cringe before His mighty power. (verse 2b)
  • He performs awesome miracles for people! (verse 5)
  • By God's great power he rules forever. (verse 7)
  • He watches every movement of the nations. (verse 7b)
  • He holds our lives in His hands and keeps our feet from stumbling. (verse 9)
  • God purifies us like silver. (verse 10b)
  • When we go through fire and flood, God brings us to a place of great abundance. (verse 12b)
  • God listens to prayers and pays attention to them, not ignoring them. (verses 19-20)
  • He does not withdraw His unfailing love from me. (verse 20b)

What a glorious God He is! God is right here in the midst of our world. If you feel like you are in the midst of fire at work or troubles keep flooding you, take courage for God is there with you, dear one. He is going to bring you to a place of abundance. It may not be physical or monetary abundance, but one of spiritual abundance. And keep praying, for our god hears us and listens to His children. His love is unfailing. His unfailing love is there and here.

For those hurting, Lord, may they feel Your presence. You alone are our living hope. Holy spirit, You know what each of us needs. Please tend to those needs. Over come us with Your presence, Jesus.

LET IT GROW

In this chapter, we are continuing with the prophecies of the New Temple during the Millennial reign of Jesus as King in Israel and the world. There will be a new worship system, which Ezekiel observes in his vision:

  • The glory of the Lord will enter His house through the Eastern Gate. (verse 1)
  • The gate will be shut and no man will enter it because the Lord God of Israel and His shekinah glory, holy presence, has entered through it. (verse 2)
  • The prince (nasi/naw-see', means captain, governor, ruler) shall eat bread (sacrificial meal) in the vestibule of the Eastern Gate. He isn't Jesus, for Jesus is King, and Jesus does not need to offer a sin offering. He is sinless and also, Jesus has no sons. (verse 3)

Probably this prince is David. Jeremiah 23:5 says, Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a Righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and just earth.

A new growth from David's tree is the Righteous Branch of Jesus Christ, the Messiah and Savior. (Jeremiah 23:5) David was a type of Christ and Jesus was called the Son of David. Now during this thousand year reign of King Jesus, David will be resurrected to be its prince. David will be a prince, ruler of Jerusalem, distinguished from other princes, because he is just and fair.

Is Jesus your King, ruling in your heart today? He desires to be.

LET IT GO

There is nothing that my God can't do.

There is not a mountain that He can't level.

There is no power like the power of Jesus.

Let faith arise.

Be King in my heart, Jesus.
