Are You Feeling Overwhelmed?

O. T. #1936  "Are You Feeling Overwhelmed?"

Ezekiel 41

LET IT GLOW

Is your heart overwhelmed today? We read that David's was in Psalm 61:

From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. For Thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. (verses 2-3)

David prays for divine security. David is without strength as he writes this song. He recognizes his own limitations and God's unconquerable might. Who is your strong tower when facing enemies? The only wise position from which to operate in life, is under the divine covering.

LET IT GROW

Keep in mind that previously we wrote about one view of this Kingdom Age Temple. Now in this chapter, we read about dimensions given to Ezekiel, details for this New Temple. the wall around it will be 10 1/2 feet thick. The Temple will have 3 levels of side rooms around it, each with 30 rooms. These may be used as storage rooms for equipment or to store the people's tithes and offerings. The outer walls of these rooms will be 8 3/4 feet thick. They will be built to last!

The interior of the Temple was overlaid with wood on all sides, etched with carved cherubim and palm trees. (verses 16-18) The carved figures represent the guardians of God's presence; the palm trees stand for God's blessing and fruitfulness. There is an unexplained table that stands before the LORD. (verse 22) Lastly, Ezekiel describes the double doors of the outer sanctuary and Most Holy Place. (verses 23-26) (Tony Evans)

Isn't it wonderfully detailed ahead of time how the Temple where Jesus will be worshiped?

Isn't our body the temple of the living God? (2 Cor. 6:16)

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. (1Cor. 3:16-17)

So you and I need to take care of our body, folks. Are we doing our best?

LET IT GO

Is there anything we need to let go of so our body honors God?

When feeling overwhelmed, go to the Rock and Strong Tower-Jesus Christ.

Hold onto Jesus today.
