N.T.#873 "Who Can Fight God?"
Oct. 2, 2026
Acts 236, 2026
LET IT GLOW
When Paul was before the Sanhedrin, He told them:
- He was a Pharisee.
- He was on trial because the Sadducees did not like their theology. (verse 6)
- He was a son of a Pharisee of the hope and resurrection of the dead.
A dissension between the Pharisees and Sadducees developed over belief in the resurrection and angels. (verses 7-8)
Paul used this opportunity to save his life. Paul was removed by the Roman commander and the interview before the Sanhedrin came to a close. He spent time in the barracks for protection upon his release.
The Pharisees said they found no fault in Pau, but if a spirit or an angel spoke to him, then let us not fight against God. (verse 9)
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
LET IT GROW
The Lord Jesus visited Paul one night to provide comfort and reassurance:/
- Be of good cheer, Paul. Huh? He had just about been killed. You expect him to be encouraged? Well, Jesus can do that-make our heart happy during trials.
- He was going to Romae to be a witness of Jesus there. Could Paul get out of Jerusalem alive?
Some Jews got together and intended to kill Paul. (verse 12) Tomorrow it would happen.
However, Paul's nephew warned Paul. He sent the guy to the chief captain, who sent Paul to Caesarea that night with protective soldiers of 470 in number.
What is God's will shall not be prevented. Paul was to go to Rome and be a witness for Jesus there. So let it be written, so let it be done. And it was.
LET IT GO
Give us strength to carry out Your will, Lord Jesus.
Only Jesus provides the Way to heaven.
