Rolling Stones

Mark 16

LET IT GLOW

Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary
the mother of James, and Salome went out and purchased burial
spices so they could anoint Jesus' body. Very early on Sunday, just at
sunrise, they went to the tomb. On the way they were asking each
other, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the
tomb?" But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone,
which was very large, had already been rolled aside.
Mark 16:1-4  NLT

Scripture does not tell who rolled the stone away from the entrance of
Jesus' tomb. It could have been Him or angels. At any rate, it was
already done when the women got there. They must not have thought
about it ahead of time. The women certainly were not strong enough
to do it.

What kind of stones do I have in front of my heart that needs to be rolled
away (confessed and forgiven) so Jesus can enter?
Is it the stone of pride, rebellion, my will, self, sin, love of money, lust?
I want Jesus to have direct access to my heart. Therefore, I need to
'fess up and seek forgiveness.
I must keep rolling those stones away.

LET IT GROW

When Mary Magdalene told the disciples that Jesus was alive and she had
seen Him, how did they respond? They didn't believe her. (verse 11)

Jesus appeared to two of His followers who were walking from Jerusalem
into the country. They rushed back to tell the others, but no one believed
them. (verses 12-13)

Still later He appeared to the eleven disciples as they were eating together.
He rebuked them for their stubborn unbelief because they refused to believe
those who had seen him after he had been raised from the dead. (verse 14)

The disciples had been told by Jesus that He would rise from the dead after
three days. Now these were the guys who saw Jesus raise the ruler's daughter,
raise the widow's son, and raise Lazrus, all from the dead. What's up with
these guys?

Well, do I believe what others say as a witness of the powerful working of
Jesus today?

LET IT GO

Lord, please remove anything that prohibits your access to my heart.
Help me believe others as they share of Your mighty working.
